PARKING GARAGE

I was on my bike all over downtown today. With camera in tow, I found this really great parking garage. It is part of City Hall. The light flows in like red-hot lava.

TRAFFIC JAM

I recently designed another project for Seattle Presents. Skip the afternoon commute and kick back with hip hop from Common Market and performances by poets Buddy Wakefield, Melissa Noelle Green, Seattle Poet Populist Jourdan Keith, and other top Seattle spoken word artists.

510 INTERIORS

I recently completed the brand development and identity system for 510 Interiors, including yet another tagline. Not officially part of my role, but it just seems to happen time and time again. "Live Well. Live Green." Upon first sight, the client was thrilled. It was just what they needed to capture the idea and spirit of their new venture. 510 Interios will open later this summer in the heart of the Olympia, just blocks form our fine capital building.

MTSH / 2007

Just a couple of weeks ago, we went to Mt. St. Helens, for the second year in a row. For the most part it was the same group of people. Of course we rode the Plains of Abraham ride on the first day, it was spectacular. I managed to drop two chainring bolts (2 of 4) and thanks to Paul and his "extra" bolt, I was able to continue the ride and get back to the car. That afternoon, our travels continued on to Lewis River. We found the best campsite, right by the river and big enough for the entire army. We were very thankful, since we had no reservation and our energy was running very low. The second day we rode right from camp to Upper Falls and back down to the campsite and on to Lower Falls and far beyond. The river made for a great post-ride "ice bath." We look forward to this trip again next year.

RETROFIT HOME

The nice folks at Retrofit Home were gracious enough to play host to my artwork for the month of June. The news may seem old, but the blog is new. The walls of Retrofit Home were filled with my season inspired work along with new large furniture paintings. Later this month, and until the end of August, I'll have a show at Utility Inc. Stay tuned for more information.

SUMMER BBQ

We made this really kick-butt dinner last week, on the grill. Can you say YUMM! Classic PNW salmon with Tom Douglas "Rub with Love", locally grown yellow corn and organic green beans provided by Pioneer Organics. The sun was going down fast, the photo just had to be taken.

VELOCITY DANCE CENTER

Velocity Dance Center is a contemporary performing arts organization. Seattle has one of the fastest growing dance communities on the West Coast. It is home to dozens of independent choreographers and is renowned for producing innovative, cutting-edge work. I recently completed another project with Velocity Dance Center, the 2007 Strictly Seattle poster. This is just one of many in our on-going relationship that has produced many great projects over the past five years.

SEATTLE PRESENTS

I have been working with Seattle's Mayors Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs. We have developed the new brand for Seattle Presents. The new tagline says it all. "City Hall becomes concert hall. Lunchtime becomes showtime." These are all-star performances by local artists. Look for the free concert series on Thursdays, all year.

PIONEER ORGANICS

Over the past couple of months I have been working with the good people at Pioneer Organics. Pioneer Organics delivers, 100% organic fruits, vegetables and natural groceries to homes and businesses on a weekly or every-other-week basis, satisfaction guaranteed. The focus has been on brand development and advertising.
